This Black Powder scenario is an excellent introduction to a rules system that is both fast paced and easy to learn. Played with 15mm miniatures each figure represents approximately 15 actual combatants.

On one side are the Athenians and the Delian League, the Demos team; against them, the Oligarchs of Sparta and Corinth are teamed. Victory is determined by objective area control at the end of the final round.

Each airplane is represented by a scale model airplane mounted on a telescoping pointer to simulate altitude. Rules will be taught. Bring your bling (bling means awards pilots get for previous battles). Many early war Allied and Axis aircraft added to the mix. These include Nieuport 11, Aviatik D1s and Phönix D1s.

The battle of Sentinum was the decisive battle of the Third Samnite War, fought in 295 BC. Between the Romans and a coalition army of Samnite and Gauls. This is early in the Republic and the Romans are not the army they will become. Plus this is one of the few battles the Gauls used chariots. The rules are my own to fight large historical battles using 28mm figures.
